Clark Fork Valley Hospital (CFVH) has been recognized by the National Rural Health Resource Center for its use of innovative employee retention strategies.
The National Rural Health Resource Center, in partnership with the Flex Monitoring Team and Stratis Health, today released Building Sustainable Capacity for Quality and Organizational Excellence, which outlines practical, rural-relevant strategies that critical access hospital (CAH) leaders and staff can adopt to more fully incorporate quality improvement efforts into their organization’s culture and develop a shared sense of responsibility for quality patient care.
The extent to which employees are passionate about their work and committed to the organization (engagement) and the choice by an employee to stay with an organization instead of seeking employment elsewhere (retention).
These tools and resources will help the Community Champion collaborate with community joint partners to identify and address community/patient health needs by maximizing capacity and available assets during their Community Priority Action Planning Workshop.

The Covid-19 pandemic Public Health Emergency (PHE) ushered in a new world for rural providers and the communities they serve, in many ways, it will never be the same again. In this session, speaker Brock Slabach, Senior Vice President for Member Services for NRHA, will describe elements of the PHE response, the impact of the PHE on rural providers and the funding opportunities that have developed as a result.
This interactive learning collaborative will support middle managers and informal leaders in rural health care to explore practical leadership skills to advance value-based care initiatives in their organizations and communities.
