Core Competency: Strengthening Quality Reporting and Improvement
Data collected through the Medicare Beneficiary Quality Improvement Program (MBQIP), and Quality Health Indicators (QHi) quality and financial productivity measures support program activity decision-making. The four (4) core domains in MBQIP are patient safety, patient engagement, care transitions, and outpatient measures to gauge improvements.
What is one activity your state is funding through SHIP?
Wyoming's priority for the SHIP is small rural hospitals' ability to address reporting requirements, support quality improvement, and transition to a value-based reimbursement system. The Wyoming SHIP's performance goals are to continue quality improvement data collection and education and improve care delivery systems by providing resources for purchasing equipment, software, hardware, and training.
