Thursday, August 12, 2021

The Technical Assistance and Service Center (TASC) has partnered with the Northwest Regional Telehealth Resource Center (NRTRC) to produce a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) Telehealth Guide. This guide provides information and guidance for the assessment and implementation of telehealth services for CAHs including purchasing, staffing, maintenance, reimbursement, and reporting for outpatient services. The guide includes best practices and resources developed by subject matter experts, technical consultants, and telehealth resource centers (TRCs). The objective is to provide Flex Programs and CAHs with a comprehensive guide that will allow them a singular point of reference for CAH telehealth standards with direct content and/or links to appropriate public and federal resources.

This event was supported by the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) and coordinated by TASC, a program of the National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center).

Following the webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of telehealth implementation for CAHs
  • Discuss best practices and resources for telehealth implementation for CAHs
  • Relay telehealth implementation points of interest to CAHs
  • Comprehend the scope of telehealth implementation with regards to purchasing, staffing, maintenance, reimbursement, and reporting for outpatient services for CAHs
